Some of the Creative Shops in Etsy

I guess because I have an Etsy shop, I love to support shop owners within Etsy if I can.  Usually, if I want to do some shopping or just look for ideas, I go to Etsy and find so many creative people on there.  They are always eager to work with you and offer very nice antiques, supplies, paintings and just about everything.  I love to create Treasury's when I have time although, lately I've been remiss in doing so.

I put together a few pictures of items I found in some of the Etsy Shops that I thought I would share with you:

These are just a few of my favorites.  There are so many lovely shops that I would be here until tomorrow loading photos of all the gorgeous items.

A Favorite Picture

This is my favorite picture.  Isabella thinks this picture is of her when she was little...And I don't have the heart to tell her it isn't her. It hangs in my dining room in front of my table and when we move it is always this picture that speaks to my heart when I open the box it was packed in.  There is a bit of a gasp and I hear myself say, "There is something so innocent and sweet about a little French girl who blows you a kiss".

I would imagine everyone has one picture or portrait that speaks to them.  Do you have a favorite picture?  If so, what is it that draws you to it?

GRAND OPENING

Bonjour Everyone,

Today is the official grand opening of my Etsy shop, La peitite boutique de perles (The Little Shop Of Pearls). I have been working hard to make items that reflect my love of all things French, Belgium, and Swedish. My shop is a simple little shop with handmade items that are European inspired. If you have read my blog, or liked my Facebook page, you are aware that I have been very busy making new items to add...Stenciled Linen French Script Pillows, and linen guest towels.  Keep in mind that all the notecards and gift tags that are in my shop can be printed into either form...Notecards or gift tags, just let me know which you prefer.

To kick off my opening, I am having a giveaway and my dear friend Fifi Flowers of Fifi Flowers (Here) and Reading Is Fashionable (Here) blogs has offered to add some "goodies" to the giveaway as well. I will be giving away a Natural Canvas Tote Bag that I have stenciled with a French Script and Fifi has very generously offered one of her gorgeous bookmarks with a book "French Lessons" by Peter Mayle so make sure you stop by Reading is Fashionable (Here) to see the"goodies"
she is contributing.
This bag has sturdy reinforced handles and a gusseted bottom.  Great for carrying books, or shopping.
All comments are to be left under this post or on my Facebook Page to be considered for the drawing.  I will be selecting the winner September 19.  I hope all of you will take a peek, if you haven't already, by clicking onto my name kfranklin12 beneath the word Etsy on my widget in the right upper corner at what is available and I will continue to keep you updated as I list new items.

If you are new to my blog or Facebook Page, I hope you will like me on Facebook and follow me on my blog.  I have posted some pictures under my la reportiste header on a separate page under the name of La petite boutique de perles.  I will also be listing items that I cannot list on Etsy so be sure to check there too for updates.

Thanks to all of you who take the time to stop by for visits and leave comments as they are always welcomed and appreciated.

Et Salut,

Kris

A SNEAK PEEK.....

Bonjour,

La petite boutique de perles is the french translation for The Little Shop of Pearls, my new Etsy online shop.  Currently, I am working to bring french inspired handmade items as well as other second hand accessories that have been stored away and ready for new homes.

The history of pearls is an interesting one and in part explains why I decided to use the word pearls in the name of my new shop. Perles are formed within the soft tissue of a living shelled mollusk and is made up of calcium carbonate in minute crystalline form, which has been deposited in concentric layers. It is hard to find a perfect pearl and no one pearl has exactly the same form, just as each item that is handmade is not the same. There is something perfect in things that are not perfect, with each handmade item being unique, and surprisingly different each time it is made.

Interestingly enough, the word pearl was borrowed from the french word perle.  Because of my love of all things French and because pearls (perles) are never formed in exactly the same shape or form, like handmade items, I choose the name La petite boutique de perles for the name of my shop.

I hope that you will check back regularly for the grand opening and giveaway to kick off my new shop.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Cheery Regards
