Always Moving Things Around

I took several photos of vignettes that I have throughout our place and thought I'd share them with you.  I am forever moving things around and changing things for a different look.  Once, while husband was at a late dinner meeting I rearranged the living room furniture.  I was already in bed when he came home and was waken by a thud in the living room.  Seems he didn't turn a light on so as not to disturb me and went to sit down in the place where the chair used to be.  Ha  His bottom was the thud I heard.  Since that time, I just move small vignettes around and not massive furniture pieces remembering all to well the "shocking" words that he spewed as he fell.  Ha  I hope you enjoy the photos.

The sweet little framed angel picture was from my daughter while she was away in school in Belgium

You just can't have enough tea towels! At least I can't!

This sweet little tea pot was purchased from Simone of Fleaing France Brocante shop.(You can visit it here)  It also came with a sweet creamer too!

Do you move your things around or leave them in the same place?

  1. What a funny story!

I don't move furniture - only little things.

  2. Oh your poor hubby! I love moving things around also, I call it "playing in my nest":)

I love your vignettes, I have the same cherub picture! The tea towels look so pretty in the little basket:)

Hope you're having a lovely Sunday!

  3. I get great joy out of moving things around...and hey, it keeps me out of the stores...sometimes. Have a great week. Mona

  4. Kris,
What a funny story. Ahhhh, Mother Mary...I love this statue. Yes, I change things around all the time because I think change is good for us. I really like the tea pot too. I am off to check out her blog now.

  5. Beautiful items, all so sweet!! Haha..poor Husband. My mom always moved the furniture like every week, it was always changed around & those things would happen as well. I move stuff, but barely the furniture, I think my mom cured me of that ;) haha!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend & your week will be bliss too! It's cold here, we have snow, although the rain will take it away..just wish for Spring already, haha!! Have a great week :) xx

  6. Dearest Kris, I also love moving things around. It brings me much fun. My husband has slowly accepted the reality *LOL* I hope you had a wonderfull Sunday of Advent. It is snowing over here. It looks really wonderful, but too bad for driving car. ;D)
    Have a great week!
    Many hughs,

  7. Thank you doll!! Ahh..I don't know if I'd have the patience to write a book! I just write down lines of things when they pop in my head...usually when I'm sleeping. I have to get up quickly and write them down before they vanish. But, the egg was from my friend's blog, she posts about the Fabergé eggs every week and that particular egg didn't have much information on it, so I just made up a story about it, quite a beautiful egg, sorry it made you sad though *hug* I was having a bit of a sad day, so I guess it came out in the story! I hope you have a beautiful week too doll!! xx

  8. Fresh new places for lovely old things :)

  9. Well, if you´ve never had a cold garlic sauce it´s time to try - I updated the post for you, but really anything goes as long as it´s something that would taste good with garlic. :-)

  10. Your poor hubby ... but it did make me laugh. I'm always moving things around - it drives my Mr mad because he can never find anything. M x

  11. Oh, I love all your vignettes-especially the tea towels! I had to hubby says he never gets used to where anything is because he knows it won't be there long! Ha! :)
