I found these pretty images and wanted to share them with you. I love looking at pictures that are out of the ordinary and these photos are no exception. I am always amazed at how it is that people can create such gorgeous vignettes. It's an art in and of itself. Staging plays such an important role when taking pictures. You know, getting things just right and in perfect balance, a real talent for those of you who do take such beautiful and life like photographs. Why sometimes I wonder if it's a photo or the real thing I'm looking at. I'm not much of a photographer which is why I am always on the lookout for beautiful and inspiring photos. I wish I was but I'll just have to be content with oohing and ahhing and wishing I had some of that creative talent flowing through me.

Well, you have a talent for finding beautiful images Kris! I am SO in love with the lamp with the wicker shade!!! I had found a vintage wicker (or rattan maybe?) shade on Etsy...someone ended up buying it and I was kicking myself for not snapping it up:(
ReplyDeleteIt's funny because once in a while I go back to my really old blog posts and think "Ewwww, did I really think that looked good?" LOL. Guess I did at the time!
Ahhhh, I love the sweet little angel, Kris. The cream wafers look so yummy. I am sipping on my tea right now wishing I had one to eat. The stacked up books remind me of Nel, as she is a book lover. And the vintage lace is beautiful. I can see why you picked these images out.

These images are very inspiring dear Kris!
ReplyDeleteStylng is everything when one photographs objects
that's way I usually prefer to take pictures of nature. It is somehow easier.
I am wishing you a lovely weekend : )
Hi Kris - I LOVE taking photos (and finding them ha ha) and lately I have been practicing setting up 'styled' shots, it is indeed an art to get it right. These images are great - hope you have a lovely weekend

I always see things in my minds eye when I try to take 'arty photos' but they seldom come out as I would like. I blame the camera of course.
ReplyDeleteperfect selection, wonderful choice
ReplyDeleteit is obvious why you like these
but why not try your hand at photography yourself !? I really am having fun with it .. sure you would be a great artist because you have such a good eye
bon weekend

Anni,
ReplyDeleteI struggle with taking good photographs. I'm too much of a perfectionist and I'm never satisfied with my own pictures...taking and retaking photos trying to get the right angle. Instead of fun for me it's frustrating! HAH I might try my hand just to see if I'm any better than I used to be. Thanks for the encouragement! :)
i like both actually!
ReplyDeletemy favourite in this lovely collection is the one with the old books :)

Kristie, you always find the loveliest photos. I would love to decorate the house for Christmas in all white. and red. Those cookies look pretty tempting.
ReplyDeleteOkay-we are not meant to communicate via email-I can see your email-but yahoo is not allowing me to read any of them-I can just see who has written my I will try again tomorrow. http://www.francetoday.com/articles/2012/09/30/henri_le_roux.html check out this link-think caramel chocolate from Breton.
