It will be a quiet weekend here with a bit of grocery shopping at my favorite grocery (Central Market) and perhaps an eyebrow tweak! I go to a place where they use cotton string to shape your eyebrows. Yes, I said cotton thread. It is so much easier on your eyes and doesn't hurt like the hot wax and tape method. I used to leave after an eyebrow wax and have blisters on my eyelid because of the hot wax they used, not so anymore.
I may also make a carrot cake for husband as it is a favorite of his. Anyway, I leave you with a few inspirational images to take you away (like Calgon) HA. Have a great weekend see you next week with hopefully something more interesting. :)

I can't decide which image I love best, they are all amazing!! The first is stunning, adore Paris!! So nice of you to make your husband carrot cake, my husband has his own recipe for that, so he makes it, it's amazing too. We love to make cakes :) I've never had my eyebrows done like that, it can be quite sore. I trained as a beauty therapist many years ago and waxing was my least favourite thing to do, quite sore. I hope you enjoy getting yours done, it's nice to go and get pampered :) I'm hungry for this last photo now, haha. I can almost smell it ;) Have a gorgeous weekend doll, I hope you are doing brilliantly!! Xxx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful inspirations Kris - LOVE the last cake picture (and in fact like Kizzy I find it hard to pick a favorite image)
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend sweets, we had a hoot in London, look forward to showing off the pics from there,

Dearest Kris,
ReplyDeleteI've never heard about eyebrow tweak using cotton string. It is something new to me :)) Weekend I may also make apple muffins with marzipan. I have wanted for a long time to make it. Carrot cake...it sounds really delicious and also healthy. Yummi!
Today we have a warm indian summer, but as nearly always while fair weather during times of high pressure I had a headache today. Luckily I have a good medicine! :)) Due to this the pain immediately subsided.
Have a nice weekend dear friend and take care!
Many hughs,
Lucia
Wow I love the shot of Paris. That delicious tart at the end looks woderful. My husband makes a great carrot cake (recipe from Delia Smith)it is not a 'whisk' sort of recipe so it gives him confidence, it is delicious. I think I shall have to remind him we haven't had one for some time now.
ReplyDeletewhat could be more interesting than this eyebrow tweak story :) ??
ReplyDeleteYour firt picture of the Eiffel tower is excellent. I wouldn't know from where you took this. I have been so many times in Paris at the Eiffel tower but didn't see these statues.
ReplyDeleteGreetings,
Filip
Lovely photos my friend. The lavender drying in the sun is my fav! I always enjoy my visits t your sweet blog. Sending hugs your way!
ReplyDeleteKris,
ReplyDeleteThe turquoise heart is so pretty. Are those pears? Pears used to be my favorite fruit when I was younger, until I tasted so many different other ones through the years. Come over and see the Red Rose Alley girls. It is the first time that we put pictures of us on our blog, and will probably be the last haha.

Oh, by the way, you said you haven't had too much to talk about, but I must tell you that your blog is so lovely to me, and when I come over here, it is like a breath of fresh air.

Those are such beautiful images Kris! And we don't always need to say too much on our blogs...they're *our* blogs right! I blog when I feel like blogging, no pressure.
ReplyDeleteI'm always so happy to see your beautiful face and read your lovely comments on my blog:) I miss my bloggy buddies when I'm gone too long!
What beautiful images! I could really dig into that pear dish! I know what you mean about enjoying the cooler temps. I have been able to do a little painting outdoors that I would never attempt during the summer. I would ROAST!
ReplyDeleteJust love that first photo! Wish I were there and I hope you are well!
ReplyDeleteBoy, that pear tart looks good, and I'm with your husband on the carrot cake front ... it's my favourite. I love baking but the Mr doesn't like cake and little man will only eat chocolate cake so no point really. M x
