European Lighting

I adore French and Italian Lighting, it is my favorite design style.  Lighting can dramatically change the entire looks of a room.  Not only do they have some beautiful antique but reproductions are available as well.  With such a variety to choose from, it is hard to decide which one too select.  (I'd like both sconces and chandeliers in all the rooms in my house.  LOL)  I found some beautiful examples of French and Italian sconces and chandeliers any one of which I would use in a heartbeat.  I especially love to see chandeliers above bath tubs, it gives baths a spa feeling and who doesn't like a bath that is like a retreat that we can go to at the end of a hectic day...sigh.  What do you think?

  6. This really hit home for me today because I was just looking at my light fixtures and said to myself, "I really need to update these." My favorite ones on here are the Antique French Mirrored Sconce..so pretty, and the French Beaded Ecclesiastical Chandelier...very unique. I would be happy with both of those.

  9. I so would put a chandelier in the bathroom! Love them all. Also, thank you for the visit and sweet comment @TheDedicatedHouse. You asked how I painted the stripes on her wall. It took me months. I worked on one wall at a time. And, it's meant to not look perfect. So, I didn't tape the stripes. I first drew them with a pencil and then got to painting. I'm one of those freaks that loves to paint. lol Toodles, Kathryn

  10. As I scrolled through these photos, my thoughts were of my bathroom and how fine it would be with a French chandelier! Love these but would only pick one as more would be overkill.

  12. Kris - you have chosen some real beauties here. My favourite has to be the French mirrored sconce - I love it! We are about to start renovating our bathroom and have already decided that we want a chandelier. Our bathroom is tiny but has a double height ceiling so I think we can get away with it. M x
