Here is the finished table base and chairs stripped, sanded and re-painted. It was certainly a job but well worth it. I really liked the way they turned out. What do you think?

I added a small stenciled anchor in navy blue centered in the middle of each chair as an added accent to the otherwise white chairs, |

The hardest part of stripping the base was these legs. Sigh...I spent a long time on each one trying to remove the paint inside the grooves. |
I fell in love all over again with my set! |
My newest wall art...a giclee map print on canvas of France with the locations of each city within the map. |
It was another lovely day here in the high 70's near 80 degrees F. I spent the afternoon cleaning up the mess on our patio from the stripper, sand and paint from redoing the kitchen set. NOW, I can rest!!
Kris, you did a fabulous job on the table and chairs. They look great! I like the little drawers on the base of the table. Such a big project, and now you can rest. Your map of France is very nice too. I can hardly wait to see what you have in store for Christmas. You have inspired me to take on a project of my own.

Holy heck Kris, you did fabulous! I love it and the addition of the little anchor was a perfect touch for your beach theme. Are you going to put anything on the little under table area of the table? Love your picture of France too. I want to get a vintage Florida map and do something with it in our guest room...it's on my to-do list.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely deserve to put your feet up and enjoy the weather after this:)
This is really a beautiful dining set here!
ReplyDeleteI think you´ve done a splendid job - looks great! :-)
